A
new BBC series, Britain’s
Secret Seas, is set to be aired
on prime time BBC2 from the 8th May.
With BSAC members involved in the programme, including
presenter and expedition leader Paul Rose, Britain’s
Secret Seas is a fantastic way to show non divers
– and potential new BSAC members – just
what we have on our own UK doorstep.
This stunning four-part series travels around the
UK coastline from north to west, focusing on the diverse
marine world we have around our own coastline, with
many of the locations featured well-known to many
of our divers.
Due for transmission on Sunday 8th May at
8pm on BBC2, the series has taken the ‘Top
Gear’ slot and is expected to have a high audience.
(The transmission date is subject to change but we
will notify you if it does).
BSAC will be working to drive as many leads as we
can to our branches as we are expecting the series
to inspire viewers to take up scuba diving.
We have also been getting in touch with our clubs
with ideas on how to make the most of this opportunity
locally.
Meanwhile, please put the 8th May in your
diaries and pass on the programme’s details
to your fellow branch members, friends, family and
work colleagues.
Why not email this on to your address book so your
friends and colleagues will be able to see what you
get up to in your spare time? They may even want to
join you one day!
This series is a really exciting opportunity
to encourage more people to dive Britain with BSAC
so please help us to share this secret!
